"Adequate time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.
