Vehicles in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police reported they were alerted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a statement.

Police say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Police then located numerous other vandalized cars and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests indicate the fluid was most likely human blood.

"There is still no clue as to where it came from; investigators are not yet cognizant of any injuries in association with the event," they added.

City officials announced they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior representative commented the vandalism left him without words and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing attack half a decade ago," he posted on online, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a shooter targeting individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
